Knowledge Without Frontiers

The Eurasian Institute of Law, Finance, and Economics comprises three pillars : (1) a consultancy group providing advice in law, tax, and strategic management, primarily though not exclusively, to businesses operating in the the Republic of Kazakhstan; (2) a research institute based on multi-disciplinary knowledge in our three core areas, and (3) publication of a peer reviewed Journal. We intend to build a database of laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan in original language, as well as English translation, with commentary. EILFE also tracks developments in Central Asia, such as the formation of the Customs Union by the Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan, and Byelorussia.

EILF engages in three major activities: (1) provision of online courses, (2) publication of the Eurasian Jounral of Law, Finance, and Economics, and (3) consultancy services. We provide consultancy services, primarily though not exclusively, regarding questions of law or investment within the Republic of Kazakhstan. Our Research Centre is directed by Prof. Dr. John JA Burke and Prof. Zhenis Kembayev. Unlike a traditional law firm, our work is priced per project to deliver quality at reasonable and predictable cost. In addition, our Research Centre has the capacity to draw upon diverse talent customised to the needs of each project. We cover legal issues within both public international law, gievn the State's key role in the extractive industries, and international commercial law, including, but not limited to, FDI, subsurface use, taxation, and arbitration, both domestic and international.
